Groton - Epifania L. Atad, 70, of 54 Washington Drive, Groton, died at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 2, 2013.

She was born Nov. 15, 1942, in Subic, Philippines, the daughter of Epifanio and Feliciana Laao.

She was married to Juan S. Atad.

In addition to her husband, Juan, she is survived by four sons; four daughters; a brother; two sisters; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Sacred Heart Church in Groton. Burial will follow in Colonel Ledyard Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St., Groton.
