My wife (Judith) and I first met Eric in the early 1970's when we all lived nearby in Neutral Bay. I was immediately struck by Eric's gentleness, approachability and integrity which complemented his deep grasp and obvious passion for social (and socialist) issues.
We remained in casual contact with Eric over later years and for me, he never changed. Eric was always a most impressive individual and I am greatly saddened that I will never see or hear him again.
