Not sure what to say?

To all the Anderson family We have wonderful memories of when we were neighbours in Grey Street. We always enjoyed Joes company and his dry sense of humour We had many happy nights together and heaps of laughs. Happy memories.

My deepest sympathy Lee to you and the family at this sad time Barbara Syme (Gerken)

My sincere condolences to the Anderson family for their loss. Joe was a great and highly respected man who served his country well in so many ways. While in Invercargill in the early 1980s I appeared before Joe regularly as a police prosecutor over a six month period. I am forever grateful to him for his guidance and understanding while settling into that role. I formed total respect for him and he remains one of the finest people I have known.

Farewell Joe. One of natures true gentlemen, a man of sagacity and wit has gone from us. Max and I will long retain fond memories of you. To Lee and family please accept our most sincere sympathy.

As a young novice lawyer in the 1980s appearing before Judge Anderson was a baptism of fire until I learned how deeply he was respected. Joe ran a tight ship, yet was fair and listened with humanity about the sad situations people were in. Off the bench Joe was humorous and a very interesting man to talk with. He helped many lawyers find their feet and will be fondly remembered. Condolences to Lee and her family.

Dear Mrs Anderson. It was a pleasure to see you both and have a chat, when you came into,E.Hayes. Judge Joe,always made us laugh and I will remember him with fondness. He was a fine man. Sincere condolences to you and your family. Yvonne Watt (E.Hayes)

Sorry to see a great Judge leave us, even at a ripe old age. Fred McElrea
