     A Mass of Christian Burial for Eric Anthony Bordelon will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 19, 2016 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Echo with Father Jason Gootee officiating. Interment will be in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.   Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.



     Mr. Bordelon, age 16, of Echo, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Faye Guillot.



     Eric was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Echo, a very active participant in school organizations, he enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all enjoyed spending time with family and especially friends. He was a joker who always found humor in everything and made everyone laugh.



     Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Chad and Christine Guillot Bordelon of Echo; one brother, Grant Guillot and wife Kelli of Echo; one nephew, Brayden Guillot; paternal grandparents, Russell and Ramona Bordelon of Hessmer; maternal grandparents, Daniel Guillot and companion, Helen Kegley of Belledeau; uncles, Glenn Bordelon of Hessmer, Craig Bordelon of Rayne, LA, John Guillot of Belledeau; aunts, Vickie Flanders of Zachary and Debra Vicknair of Hahnville, LA,



     Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will resume at 8:00 a.m. until shortly before funeral service on Monday.



     A rosary will be held on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home.

I am extremely sorry for your loss.Eric will be remembered in my heart as that cute red headed boy I was fortunate enough to teach at Poland, he was always trying to help this old granmother sub,and was always very respectful.
