Not sure what to say?

Nancy, I just found out and I'm shocked to my Spirit. Eric was the greatest coworker I have known and was a great friend those 4 years at CDG.
My prayers are for you and him in this hard time.

Linnea e-mailed me about Eric's death. Eric, Linnea and Anders are my cousins. Their father, J. Gunnar Back, and my mother, Lynea Gateley, were brother-sister. I can't say anything in consolation any better than what the others have already said. From what they said, I'm sorry that I didn't have a chance to know Eric better. He did visit my mother out here in Ventura once or twice in the early 80's and I got to know him somewhat then. My mother enjoyed his visits (and his dad's visits) and...

Nancy,
I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I feel very fortunate to have known and worked with Eric.

Dear Nancy,
I am thankful that I had the opportunity to reconnect after many years and once again see Eric. In spite of his pain at the time, he engaged in pleasant conversation, as a perfect host. I will always remember him as a kind, intelligent, and fun loving person.
I am so sorry for the loss of your long time partner. However, you now have added a special friend and sister-in-law in your life. I am looking foward to spending time together to build our...

Dear Nancy,

I was there when you met Eric, and it was my privilege to be near when you said goodbye. You took such good care of him throughout this past year. And he was so courageous and polite even when in the utmost discomfort. He fought the good fight, and was able to let go when the time came to step over to the other side. I know he is only a breath away from you...always. May you find the peace beyond understanding in the days and months ahead. ...

Eric was just a good person. He valued fairness and decency. He was very intelligent and a great storyteller. His exceptional verbal skills - vocabulary, imagery and construction - appeared in his conversation and his writing. He had extraordinary technical skills and could do, make or fix almost anything.
He was kind and patient. Everyone he met in life liked Eric. He connected quickly with people.
He was a model patient and kept up a positive attitude to his final illness. To...

Nancy,
I am so sorry to hear of Eric's passing. He was a special man to those of us who knew him from the Wheaten Social list. I am sure that he will be with you always in your heart. We are also with you in prayers and good thoughts. We know how much Eric loved you and hope that you will take comfort in this.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss Nancy. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
