Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy to Catherine and the children. I hope the children will know that their Dad would speak of them often and fondly! I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Eric Benson on his flagship Emergency Poultry Disease Management seminars at The University of Delaware. We had the awesome opportunity to welcome scholars and vets from all over the world. If we hit a roadblock, Eric was always agile and creative in solving any problem. He respected everyone and you knew he...

Goodbye, Eric. The world is a poorer place for your departure.

You will be missed. Your lead foot, crazy characters, contagious energy, amazing focus, dedication, and enduring faith cannot even begin to describe the void you leave. May this candle burn bright as you and light the way for your family's memories and love.

RIP Professor Benson you inspired so many kids like me at the University of Delaware. You Are Missed so very much. Thoughts and prayers to the family. Professor Benson was a great teacher and I'm blessed to have been able to learn from him. Here are some photos I have of him teaching students from all over the world about the EPDR at UD. Rest In Peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Eric's passing. He played many a mean game of Car Wars and D&D when we were in college together. He will be missed.

Thank you for being the best professor and academic advisor. We will miss you so very much.

Sincere condolences to the Benson family and to friends of Eric. He will be missed.

My deepest sympathies to Eric's family. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. I knew him when he was an undergrad at UD. We would talk hockey for many hours. Years later when he returned to UD, I had the privilege of working with him. I will truly miss him.
