Eric Weimer Betz

First and foremost I would like to send my deepest condolences out to the Betz family and his many friends.I met Bart and Nancy in the fall of '81 and their father soon after when I joined the BSA Troop 256. Bart was a grade ahead of me and Nancy a few below me. Bart and I were never very close friends as he was a whole year older than me. In the too short time that we had to get to know Eric, we did have a chance to see and to appreciate some very important qualities he possessed: Wonderful ways to express his love for Susie: You knew he'd be in the front row, in his Neon Grey t-shirt, supporting Susie and Neon Grey at all their performances! The memory we hold dear to our hearts is the love we observed between Eric and his two daughters. The few times we were together, Naomi and Hannah were foremost in his conversations with us. I got to know this beautiful soul over the last few years thanks to his relationship with Susie. They shared a beautiful and inspirational love. Eric exuded a contagious happiness and optimism that would make you smile, laugh and feel better. He will be missed by many.
