Not sure what to say?

To Eric's Family,
I did not get to know Eric that long, but for the year that I got to know him, it was nice. He was always talking about Gloria and Amy and how he couldn't wait to take Amy out to the mountains with the bike that he was getting her for her birthday. Every morning at work he would say, "Good morning Ashley, How are you?" and everyday when he would leave to go home, it was, "Have a great night Ashley!" I sure do miss that. I could tell that he was a loving family man. He...

To Gloria, Amy, and Scott (and all other members of Eric's family),

I've already dropped off a letter expressing my condolences, but I just wanted to add a public note. I haven't seen Eric since Lick-Wilmerding High School graduation. Though we were on different sides of the fence (to quote his yearbook entry) pursuing different interests, it's still a shock to lose a member from one's past. Based on the variety of entries on this website, I'm heartened that Eric has touched so...

Gloria & Amy, My heart breaks with news of your tragic loss. I too remember Eric's smile, his sense of humor and his persistent positive attitude. I remember our great photography expedition to the abandoned Embarcadero Freeway and I remember spending time with him in Golden Gate Park. I have great memories, but words fail me here.
May your memories give you comfort in your time of grief.

Dear Gloria, Amy & Family:

There's no "magic" to erase the pain of Erics' tragic death....just know family and friends, even those you haven't seen in a very long time are holding you all clolse in heart.

Eric was a very special person and God's gift to all of us that knew him. No one can explain why these things happen, but you can be assured he'll always be remembered by those of us he touched.

Love,
Cousin Chrissie and Shannon

To Gloria & Amy, Our thoughts & prayers are with your family at this difficult time. We have fond memories of Eric & the Buschman family from Cafe Mars. God Bless.

To the family and friends of Eric Buschman, I am very sorry to learn of Eric's tragic and untimely death. I met Eric at Sacramento State in the early 1980's. We were roommates for a few months in the Foley Hall Dormitory during the Spring of 1981. I remember Eric as a fun-loving outgoing person with a sharp wit and a great sense of humor. I also remember he was a basketball aficionado and a devotee of the grateful dead. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Dear Gloria, Amy and Rich,

I know how little words on a page by some of us who only enjoyed Eric’s company on a few occasions can mean to you, but I still wanted to let you know that our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Eric death was such a shock, and it seems so unfair to lose such a role model: a loving husband, a dedicated father, a loyal son and a fun-loving friend.

I know your lives are shattered, and I wish we knew how to ease the pain.

Eric went to the French-American school with my daughter. He was a close friend of my son-in-law; they loved to camp at Shasta. Eric's friends will take Eric's ashes to scatter at the place he loved so much. Eric was so spontaneously funny and entertaining, no one will ever fill the place Eric leaves.

Richard and family,
Sometimes life brings us to our knees in pain and grief, only to shine the light on us once again. My hope for you is that the Light shines again soon and in all its glory. My heart aches for your loss. Richard, unfortunatly I will be out of town on Saturday so I will not be able to attend the service and will say Erics name out loud three times in the mountains near Soda Springs at 1:30 and hold all of you in the Light.
