I met Eric shortly before he rejoined the military. Being an Army brat I instantly knew he was a good person. I met him on my 21st birthday. He gave me a tv and some VHS tapes he had brought to my apartment. I was broke and it was the first time I lived alone. I came across one of those tapes and wondered how he was doing. On May 23rd, 2015 my family and I participated in the I Did the Grid 4 mile run/walk. The run is organized by Team Chris, an organization founded by the family of Cpl. Christopher G. Scherer who was killed in action in July of 2007.
