Read MoreOn Dec. 30 (my birthday) my father took me to dinner. We went to Ruby Tuesdays. It was my very first time going there. We grabbed plates and went to the salad bar. Grabbing a couple of small things, we made art on our pates. We pretended they were robots or sailboats. I got ice cream after that. I remember the smile on his face most. He always knew how to make you smile even in the worst of times.
