Not sure what to say?

I was so happy for Eric when he told me he had fallen in love, married, and had a son. He and I were best friends for a period of time in the 80's. He brought laughter to my life. And enriched it. I have just learned, this Christmas Day, of his passing away. I am saddened by the loss, but especially for his family, who made him so happy. God Bless them and all who knew him. He enriched every life he touched.

To my childhood Friends, Eric and Mike, I am so sorry that Erics life was cut short, i have you all in my thoughts and prayers, and am deeply saddened that i cant be there for you guys. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and kind words of support. Eric was a wonderful husband and father. He will be so missed by his family and his friends. All the prayers we have received are so important to us because prayer is what keeps us going. I know Eric will be with us for the rest of our days and he was my soul mate and my best friend. God is walking us through this time of grief and in him I will walk and know Eric is in a wonderful place that I will enter one day and...

I am so sorry that I was not able to come to VA to the services. I have many memories of spending many summers with Eric at our grandma's house outside playing in the mudd and running from bumble bees. He will be missed. Melody Dugan-McDowall Eric and Mike's cousin from Kansas

Mike, Sherri & children,
We were so sorry to hear of Eric's passing today in the paper. For I can remember as a child when Ronnie & Saddie would come with the boys to my Grandma & Grandpa Comptons house. We would often talk about how sorry we felt for the parents, as well as the children. For it must be so hard for the children to see their parents in the situation that theirs were in. But the Lord was on their side. For Eric and Mike never ever once lost a smile or complained about...

Sherri, Erin, Katie, Christopher and Sarah,
Please know we love you all and will be there if you need us. Eric will always be watching over you and the children. I will miss his since of humor - he loved to joke around whenever we were around.
Love, Sharon, Butch, Tanya, Darren, Jimmy and Erin
