The world has lost an angel on Earth. Eric Nathaniel E. Crow passed away at his home on January 13, 2017 at the age of 35. He was born on April 3, 1981 at Ellis Hospital. He graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School in 2000, attended classes at Hudson Valley Community College and was a dedicated writer to his Sports Trivia Book. Eric's love for his family, friends and sports was immeasurable. He was lucky enough to even see the Yankees and Giants win multiple Championships. Eric lived his life uncomplaining and with never-ending patience. He touched many people's lives as he was the definition of strength, courage and inspiration. Eric definitely left a lasting impression on anyone he met, always starting with his big, bright smile. Eric is survived by his mother, Helen Eggenberger; father, Henry Crow; step-father, Donald Lucas; sister, Briana Crow-Wilday; brother, Nathaniel Crow; brother-in-law, Steven Wilday, sister-in-law, MacKenzie Franke; and his beloved pets, Bella, Mia, Harley and Davey. The memorial will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 5 p.m., with a short service at 6 p.m. at Bekkering-Ellis Funeral Home in Scotia, NY. We are requesting that everyone wears red, as that was Eric's very favorite color. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Spina Bifida Association http://sbaneny.org/ Eric, you are so loved and will be missed dearly.

Dear Family and Friends of Eric--you certainly hit the nail on the head with the description of his sweet smile that could light up the hallway and his uncomplaining spirit. He truly was an angel on earth since he brought goodness wherever he "rolled"! I'm so sorry for your loss but hope you concentrate on the joy he brought to all who met him! As one of the many SGHS teachers who remember him fondly, I want you to know he brightened our lives.

I was so sad to hear of Eric's passing. He was in my second grade class many years ago, but his bright smile and engaging personality remain in my memory over 25 years later. Eric was kind and friendly to everyone--he made many friends that year. My most vivid memory is of him zipping down the hall in his wheelchair with a classmate riding "shotgun". I think I can almost hear their giggles now! Eric made this world a better place and taught me and his classmates many important life...
