Eric Joe DeBoe

WINTER PARK, Fla.Eric Joe DeBoe, age 80, of Winter Park, Florida, died Friday, January 8, 2016 in Arden Courts in Winter Springs, Fla.Born December 7, 1935, he was a son of the late Hezzie C. DeBoe and Alla Whitt DeBoe. He retired as a Master Sergeant after twenty-three years of service in the U.S. Air Force and was awarded a bronze star following combat in Vietnam.  He held a Bachelors degree in business and was a broker in the insurance industry. Mr. DeBoe was a faithful Christian and worshiped at Palm Springs Drive Church of Christ. He enjoyed fox hunting, gardening and exercising.He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Ann DeBoe of the residence; four daughters, Nancy Alla Chase of Tampa, Fla., Phyllis Cynthia Blanchard and husband, Larry of Carroll, Iowa, Tara Lynne Schulz of Highland Village, Texas, and Jacqueline Susan Vennero and husband, Phil of Fayetteville, N.C.; a step-daughter, Angela Rothrock and husband, Steve of Winter Park, Fla.; two brothers, Kirby Alton DeBoe, and Aven Tracy DeBoe and wife, Sharon; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mr. DeBoe was predeceased by three brothers, Jerry DeBoe, David Willis DeBoe, and Maxey Jason DeBoe; and two sisters, Ruby Maxine Cantrell, and Beatrice Milam Ingram.Graveside services with Military Honors by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Wagner Family Cemetery, Chatham, Va. by Randy Parker, Minister.       Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna, is assisting the family.
