Not sure what to say?

I miss you, Papa. I think about you every day.

It broke my heart when I heard of Chef Distefano's passing. The last thing the world needs is to lose an amazing culinary talent in the prime of his career.

We arrived early at the Coyote Cafe, just as Chef Distefano and his staff were having their "pre-show" meeting. The discussion was lively and cordial, and it looked like they did kind of a "Whoa Bundy!" at the end, like a football team in the huddle as they're getting ready to play. We are very saddened to hear that Eric passed away. Our deepest, most heart-felt sympathy to his family and loved ones. Eric leaves the world a better place, where his creativity, generosity and kindness touched everyone around him. We always looked forward to visiting Eric in Santa Fe. And in California we have his book displayed in our kitchen since he first signed it for us several years ago. Eric was such a delight, and he will forever be in our hearts.

I knew Eric as a teenager when his family lived in Flagstaff Arizona. My mom and step-dad, Gloria and Mike Biggerstaff were friends with his parents. Even then, his heart was big.

May his parents and close friends find comfort in the hope for the future that we have been promised. Love to all.

I am sad for your loss, i will miss Eric hearing about his cooking and what a good person he was and always will be in our hearts. I had the pleasure of working with Eric at NM Governors residence when he was there for an event.

A great chef and even better friend. Think of you everyday

Let your light shine Eric!

My sincere thoughts of condolences go out to all the family and friends who loved and cherished Eric. May the God of comfort who comforts us in all our trials be with those who feel the pain of Eric's loss.
