Not sure what to say?

I had a good friendship with Eric although we were living in two different Continents, Eric in North America and me in Europe, Italy. We worked for the same company, DEC and we were both amateur radio. I missed our chats. RIP & 73 Gian, I7SWX

When seeing an ad for an ARRL licensing class, I thought about how much fun I had with Eric and K1NUN at Camp Interlocken in the late 1960s. I received my license today and wanted Eric to be my first contact, but just learned the sad news that he had passed away. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I renew my condolences to Eric family. It is a long time since he left us. I am sure is in a good place and near his family and friends. 73 dear Eric. Gian, I7SWX, retired since middle of 2004 in Italy - Apulia Region, near Bari

Eric and I became friends somewhere around 1972. I was very big into ham radio then as WA1SNI, completely crazy about 2m FM. Our other friend Sam completed the trio and we got together often.

One evening I went to an apartment community called Westgate in Chestnut Hill to visit my girlfriend Laura whom I eventually married.

To my total surprise I ran smack-dab into Eric, whose then-girlfriend Nancy lived right next to Laura...and whom he would eventually marry. We double-dated...

Eric and I were on the same docket to speak at the Boxborough Hamfest. We both loved operating QRP -low power operation- and I recall Eric's deep sense of humor. He was a fun and funny guy and I, too, will miss him dearly. We were just two guys who spoke to the audience but Eric's voice still looms within my ears. 73 pal. Dennis Marandos K1LGQ --

As a counselor in a summer camp in Maine, I met a young Eric Falkof. As the "Ham Radio" counselor, I found him a willing learner, and had the pleasure of giving him the FCC examination for his first license. Until I moved to Florida, we spoke on the local ham repeater channels. I will miss him. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. My call sign, W1WSN.

Dear Nancy and family,
Baruch Dayan Ha'emet.
We were shocked to hear this news. We will miss his smiling face, his warmth and his dedication to the TST community.
There are simply no words to say but we are truly sorry.
With deepest sympathy,
Heidi Tissenbaum and Allan Dines
TST

I met Eric in the mid 1970s when he and Nancy and my wife and I moved into the same apartment complex in Waltham. How exciting to have two hams in the same complex, both hiding antennas in the attic! After many conversations over the years, both in person and on-the-air, one always knew Eric was smiling when he spoke. Eric will be missed by so many communities for all that he did and for all that he was. My condolences to Nancy and the family and all Eric's friends.

Nancy, Andy, Beth, and all your family,
Chip and I are so sorry to hear about Eric. Please know we are thinking of you and praying for you during this time. Sincerely, Chip and Mary Chiappinelli
