Curran-Jones Funeral Home - West Springfield Obituary

Eric P. Geiger, 56, died Thursday at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Springfield, son of the late Harry K. and Claire (Leger) Geiger. Eric grew up and lived in Agawam and Southwick. He worked as an inspector for Pratt and Whitney in West Hartford. Eric was a member of the Northeast Bass Angers, the Springfield Yacht and Canoe Club and the Westfield Sportsmans Club. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, pool and cribbage and played in various leagues. He leaves his brother Karl K. Geiger and his wife Maryann of Feeding Hills, his sister Linda C. Geiger of Feeding Hills, his aunt Joyce Geiger and many cousins. The funeral home service  will be Wednesday at 11 am in the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service on Wednesday from 10 to 11 am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children or to the American Cancer Society. My deepest sympathy's to Eric's family. So saddened to hear about his passing. Eric lived life with gusto. I have many happy memories of golfing with Eric.

I worked with Eric for a few years at Berkshire industries, we shared many stories from or pasts and he assisted me with my sobriety , he is a great friend and one who will be missed very much !

Eric was an Awesome guy to work with ! I worked with Eric at Berkshire Industries. We shared our knowledge of CMM's together. I enjoyed listening to his fishing stories. My Condolences to the Geiger Family !

Sorry for your loss. My short time knowing Eric at Pratt and Whitney I can say he was a great guy. He will be greatly missed.
