Pittsburg Funeral Chapel - Pittsburg Obituary

On February 26, 2024, Eric Anthony Grounds, loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, passed away unexpectedly at 45 years of age. Native to California he loved fishing the Delta, camping with his family at Pinecrest Lake, Boating on Lake Oroville, California scratchers and the weekend trips to Monterey Bay. Eric was a skilled carpenter who will be remembered for his laugh, long stories, and love for trees.

Eric married Christina on March 1, 2008, and could not wait to create a family together. Each already blessed with a daughter, God answered their prayers adding another daughter and then a son who completed their family. They were fortunate to have had 16 years building a life together and creating memories that will last them forever.

Eric leaves behind to cherish his memory; wife, Christina Grounds; children, Alyssa, Alivia, Anthony, and Mariah; his parents, Esther and Russ Perry, Brother Albert; and many nieces and nephews. Eric was preceded in death by his father, Richard Grounds and grandmother, Carmen Williams.

Eric will be missed and remembered in the hearts of his family and friends.

Services for Eric Grounds will be on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 10:30am at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel 2295 Railroad Ave. Pittsburg, Ca 94565.

In lieu of flowers, the Grounds family requests donations be made in Eric’s honor to the Antioch Animal Shelter in memory of his black lab and best friend Jaxsin Grounds.
