Eric Hansen

Phoenicia- Eric A. Hansen, 65 of Fox Hollow died Monday September 21, 2015 at the Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston. An area resident for over 30 years, he formerly had been a computer analyst at IBM. Eric loved the outdoors, and spent time fishing and hunting. He was a people person who involved himself in local Shandaken politics. Described as a wayward soul, he had hitched around the USA, attended the original Woodstock concert, and could strike up a conversation with most everyone. He was born January 29, 1949 in Detroit, son of Howard and Evelyn Apel Hansen. His roots, made him a Detroit Tiger's and Lion's sports fan! Surviving are his childrren: Kirk Hansen, MaryAnna Fitzgerald, Dale Hansen, Rebecca Hansen, and Rhea Wheeler. 5 sisters: Sherry Nesbitt, Judy Moyle, Karen Davio, Susie Barwick, and Barb Reel. A granddaughter Alice Day Fitzgerald , companion and friend of 23 years: Gail Lester, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
