Eric P. Hansen, "Captain Ric", born October 31, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully at age 56 at his home in Hollywood, Florida on November 12, 2018. Beloved son of Marylou Hansen and the late Leo Peter Hansen. Dear brother of Mary Beth Hansen and the late James Hansen. Loving uncle to niece Ashly Hansen and nephew Brandon Tye Chaffin. Good friend to many. Ric will be laid to rest at Ivanhoe Cemetary in Mundelein, Illinois on Sunday, November 25, 2018. In lieu of flowers please donate to Rics 'go.fund.me' page at:

So hard to believe, you fought so hard to beat it..i havent had to live in a world where you were not just a phone call away, for any part of my adult life.. i dont want to be without you..im grateful though.. for those looonnnggg conversations.. all the times you stuck with me through the storms.. literally and figuratively..talked me through many a.. peter no tail moment and reminded me who i was, what id done.. and that i could do it again.. whos going to talk me through this?
