With Coach Bob Bradley, Eric created powerhouse cross country and track sports at McQuaid High School that have been enjoyed by many thousands of young runners over nearly 55 years. A truly kind, genuine and upstanding person.

I am sorry to hear this news. I ran behind Eric (as did everyone else in the northeast US) at McQuaid. He was a runner who would have won every event from the 100 to the two mile. He and I once got separated from the team together in NYC by missing the Staten Island Ferry. He was a good friend to me. Always encouraging. He told me, "Jake, when you get to be a senior, you are going to be so strong.."
He was right.
He is with Coach Bradley now. They are both in our family rosary.

Eric was a classmate of mine at McQuaid. The last time I saw Mr. Bob Bradley he shared with me that Eric was having significant health issues. I saw in the latest McQuaid newsletter that he had died. My sympathies to his family and friends.
Eric was an outstanding athlete. In addition, he carried himself with grace, confidence and a real genuineness. Rest In Peace, Eric.

Eric was a such beautiful person, so kind hearted, jovial and full of jokes. He touched the lives of so many. He is well loved and will be truly missed. Love you Eric Vaughn! Gussie

Cousin Eric you will be missed! Your wit and humor, and that contagious smile that always brighten up the room when you entered! Love you and miss you already! Koy I LOVE YOU!!!

Terrific track and cross country athlete. Instrumental in taking these sports to a very successful level at McQuaid High School (including the nationally recognized annual McQuaid Invitational Meet). A humble, kind and generous man. He will be missed.
