Not sure what to say?

What can be added to this beautiful obituary? He was a tranquil unwavering force full of humility, a laugh we all remember, optimism and curious about life and others. He was the best older brother one could hope for as I entered Beta. I love you Eric

Dear Jeanne,

Through the Wesleyan Alumni magazine, I have just now learned of Eric's untimely death in February. I just hope that you are still reading this page. Eric and I were both economics majors at Wesleyan and essentially took the same classes for 4 years. We both helped each other and commiserated with each other virtually every day. I have so enjoyed seeing him at reunions and keeping up with your beautiful family over the ensuing years. My thoughts and sympathies are...

I just learned the sad news of Eric's passing - I had been thinking of him recently even though we had not seen each other in 30 years.

One of my favorite memories: Eric was part of a small group who had formed a wine club, a great excuse to imbibe and "learn" about wines. This great collection included John Ryan, Chris Pace, "Skates," and a few others.

At one winter night's gathering, the question for the room was "What do you like to do when it's cold?"

A number of Beta...

I was shocked to hear that Eric has passed away suddenly. He was a funny and great colleague from Merrill Lynch Capital Services Group. His humor was best captured in a little story that I always laugh at when I think of Eric. One day back in the early 1990's, Eric's office computer went haywire and he could not get it to work. He tried with PC Support and they could not help him so he ripped the computer from the wall and put it on a chair with wheels. While screaming at the computer, he...

I was very sorry to hear about the loss of Eric Langille. I worked with Eric at Merrill where he commanded the respect and admiration of everyone who had the pleasure to work with him. His honesty, integrity, and dedication (and of course his unforgettable laugh) made him a genuine leader. Even as he enjoyed a highly successful career he never lost sight of what was most important. He was a model for many of us to follow and I am sure all of those qualities that made him such a great person...

I met Eric 15 years ago at red sox fantasy camp. He was a guy with an infectious laugh a great sense of humor and a great love for baseball. Having played on a couple of teams with him, helped me to appreciate the fun all of us ex ball players could have while also being competitive. I went to the camp for 8 years and he was one of the people I would look forward to seeing when I got there. I am very sorry for the loss of a husband and father that had many years ahead of him. My thoughts...

Dear Jeanne,

John and I will miss seeing Eric on our early morning runs.

May God bless you and your family.

Maria and John Checton

Clark, Oliver, Bryce and Olya, I liked your dad. He was my friend. I had many great conversations with him about sports, politics and especially our children.
Your dad was a well read articulate man, he was an interesting man to listen and talk to, someone who could understand and appreciate your personal point of view. He was always very proud of you when he spoke to me about your lives and accomplishments.
I am sad and I will miss him and our time together.

Ollie and family,

So sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
