Hello, Is this the Eric Lyons that used to work at Greenfield Village when he was in his early 20's? If so, I have a picture I'd like to share. I send heartfelt thoughts to you and your family. Karin Nanos

I enjoyed working with Eric when I was the City Clerk for the City of Parchment. His creative ideas made the City a better place to live.

This is heartbreaking news. My condolences to Margaret and the boys. I have fond memories of working with Eric at OCBA, when I was right out of school. I tried to draw and print like Eric, but his "robot" people were uniquely Eric and I never came close to printing in his bold lettering style. I learned a lot from Eric and enjoyed working with him so much. We had a lot of fun teasing him. We especially enjoyed watching him turn red in embarrassment when several of us were pregnant at...

Eric will always be remembered through his amazing legacy of great landscape architectural works. The Allegan Riverfront Renaissance; Wenonah Park in Bay City; Markin Glen County Park and the most beautiful stretch of the KRVT from downtown Kalamazoo north to D Avenue are just a few of Eric's award-winning projects that OCBA will forever be known for. My condolences to you Margaret, Michael and Kevin.

Sincere condolences to Margaret, Michael, and Kevin. I am saddened to learn of Eric's passing. I will keep you and Eric in my prayers. Eric had extraordinary design and artistic talent as a landscape architect. Eric worked so hard to create great public spaces in this community-- Arcadia Creek Festival Place, Arcadia Creek walk, Kalamazoo Valley River Trail, Celery Flats, Battle Creek Riverwalk, Binder Park Zoo. And in communities beyond our own-- downtown Fremont park and streetscape, and...

Please forward my thoughts and prayers to Eric's family. While I was with the City of Kalamazoo, I had many opportunities to work closely with Eric whether it related to non-motorized transportation development or general Landscape issues, and I always sought and respected his opinions on these areas. He was a well respected source of information as well as a close friend. He will be greatly missed. You have my greatest sympathies.
