ERIC MARDER

On the sixth anniversary of your deathyou are missed more than ever! I am thankful for all the memories of our life together!

I worked with Eric (at EMA) for just a couple of years, but his integrity, wisdom and intellectual discipline set a standard that guided my subsequent career - and active retirement. It takes a special person to be a mentor to people who are full of themselves - but Eric did that for me. I´m reading a book by Arthur Koestler - one of Eric´s favorites- and that got me thinking about how much I miss Eric.

A kind, supportive and loving husband. I carry his memory with me every day. In my heart forever!

I had the privilege of learning from and working with Eric for over 20 years during the Scott Paper Company portion of my career. For six of those years I was Director of Marketing Research and had a monthly meeting in his office in NYC.

Eric was the most brilliant thinker I ever worked with. Some of his methods ideas were stunning in their insight and elegance. After leaving Scott Paper I spent 14 years with one of the world's largest custom marketing research firms and learned...

I just ran across this quote and thought of Eric's policy to hire scientists who had never worked in marketing research.

Wish we could all stay forever. Wish I could have gotten to know him better. Worked at Eric Marder Associates 1983-1988. It was fun!

A brilliant man, Eric was always kind to me during my adolescent years while at the same time challenging me intellectually, through our conversations and through long games of Go. I will miss him.

Much love and condolences to the Marder family from the Maria Sereghy family...i have many fond memories of going to the house on white-tailed road with my mom Maria who was your housekeeper--i as so inspired by Eric's knowledge and talent--maybe that's why i became an artist and teacher---He was a instrumental as was your mom in shaping my interests to pursue the arts--He had a wonderful life and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him---r.i.p.
