Eric McDonald

I am just learning of Eric´s passing... knew him from college/ Western Reserve Ubiversity. Also lost track of his sister Kori in the 70´s in Atlanta. Deepest sympathy. Eric was a gem! Bette l nutt Avon lake, ohio

It startles me to be reminded that it has been 17 years since Eric died because I still reflect often on the stimulating conversations among us weekend regulars and him at Books! Books! We were all like a cozy family, which only Eric's unique personality could have engendered. Joe Reardon

Jean and family,
Your loss is shared by all who met Eric. He was a real gentleman and became a real friend. I know many of us planned our Sundays around visits to "Books Books". I will miss him and always remember him.

We are fellow bibliophiles who shared many memorable and enriching hours on weekends with Eric and his coterie of uniquely interesting friends. We already miss his company, his wit, his insights, and the genuine care he showed for each of us. It pained us deeply to see him struggle with the cancer that invaded his body, but his unfailing cheer and optimism through it all was indeed an inspiration. Requiescat in pace aeterna.
