im sitting at work, and for some reason ive been thinking about u a ton lately. maybe it's the fact ive seen joe alot more, or keith just came home, or around every corner is a friend we had in common or something that sparks a heartfelt memory. it's been awhile since your passing, yet im still in denial. just seems like i havnt seen u in awhile. went past a house the other day i helped u roof( thanks again for making me the clean-up guy). i gues the main reason i'm writing this...

My name is Brian Powers and I knew Eric while stationed in Okinawa. We were only together for about six months but stayed in touch after he left. The last time I saw him was in August of 2005 at my wedding in San Diego. We lost contact and unfortunately I will never get to hear his amazing laugh again. Eric, I love you and will miss you very much. Your friend, Brian

I was already missing you so I decided to look you up. My prayers go out to your family and friends. I believe I spoke to your mom on the phone once and heard a lot of good things about the rest of your family. We had the best times in Okinawa. Remember Captain Bland? I can honestly say that just about every memory I have of Eric brings a smile to my face. Eric had an amazing ability to make everyone around him feel welcome, and happier to be where ever he was. My deepest sympathies go to your family for your loss. I pray that God blesses you all with strength and happiness, even when those things seem so far away.
