Eric Nielsen

Rick was a kind and giving gentleman. I envied his warm and accepting ways, finding the best in every encounter, in every friend, even in every confrontation. I admired his ability to up-lift all those around him. He and Suzanne had a great family that benefited greatly his gentle, warm, kind and gregarious attitude. I will miss Rick always but especially Thursday nights with all the guys. May Rick Rest In Peace.

Uncle Rick was my mother Pams beloved uncle and my great uncle. I had the privilege and pleasure of interacting with him several times at family gatherings - usually at Stumps on Thanksgiving weekend. Uncle Rick was energetic, charismatic, and kind. It was always pleasant and fun to be in his company. I know much about him second-hand from my Mom; admired and adored him. His love for his wife of over six decades was beautiful. I remember their affinity for each other, something that stuck...

What a wonderful man! As the daughter of two of his good friends, I always felt that he was interested in what I was doing and always positive and kind. I know he will be sorely missed! Thank you, Susan and Carolyn for such a beautiful and true obituary, and may God give you comfort.
