Eric Joseph Pieszchata, beloved brother and son, tragically passed away on August 10, 2024, at the age of 32. He was involved in a fatal car accident that immediately took his life.
Eric was born on July 15, 1992, in Alameda, California. At a very young age Eric's family moved from the Bay Area to Sacramento, where he spent his childhood growing up in neighborhoods in Rosemont and Elk Grove. Following graduation from Pleasant Grove High School, Eric pursued a career in geography, earning an Associates degree from Cosumnes River College and in 2016, a Bachelor's degree from California State University, Sacramento. Soon after graduating college, he relocated to West Sacramento where he began his career, working for Amazon and Hillyard Manufacturing.
Eric carried many sacred principles and lived his life full of conviction for what he believed in. Raised Catholic during childhood, Eric always had a strong foundation with faith. One of Eric’s heroes was pastor Dr. Charles Stanley. Over the past decade, Eric found passion within his church, Jesus Culture. He devoted himself to prayer and connection with God every day. Following his baptism as an adult, Eric connected with several groups within his church to build community. He would spend Sunday’s dedicated to service to others and spreading his message of faith.
Eric was a passionate lover of music. Some of his favorite bands include Born of Osiris, Trivium, Animals as Leaders, and Metallica. He had fond experiences going to music festivals such as Aftershock and Outside Lands. He would regularly travel to see his favorite bands perform. Eric enjoyed staying active; some of his favorite hobbies were lifting weights and going for walks along trails in nature. He also had a deep love of animals including his many dogs over the years: Sparky, Domino, Monet, and Luke. Eric was predeceased by his father Joseph. He is survived by his mother Florence and brother Antonio who will never forget his unwavering loyalty to family and passion for life.
