Kathryn Jane (Baker) Brown was born on July 2, 1927 near Branson, Missouri. She came to California with her family during the Great Depression and grew up in Ione, California. While spending much of her life in Sacramento, she spent 18 years in Sutter Creek before moving to Elk Grove in 2023. She always said those years in Sutter Creek where she lived with her daughter Sue and Son-in-law Michael were the happiest time of her life. She is pre-deceased by her parents Alma and Arthur Baker and her siblings Eugene (Gene), Joanne and Hobart (Hoby). She had 2 children, Sue (Michael) and Steve (Paula) who passed in 1997. She worked for the State of California (EDD) as an Executive Secretary for 33 years. She had the great privilege of watching 5 generations of family. In addition to her children she is survived by grandchildren, Stacy, Jeremy (Cheryl) and Kelly (Paul) and Chris, Nick and Greg and great grandchildren, Meaghan (Randy) and Bailey, Connor and Lillian, Jade and Kai and Hunter and great great grandson Edwin. She is also pre-deceased by her life long companion of almost 50 years Paul Guidero. Kathryn absolutely loved to travel and did it as long as she could having seen much of Europe and the US. She had many friends over the years who remember her kind personality and beautiful smile. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
