Eric A .“Emoney” Reid

It is with heavy hearts we announce that our family circle was broken by the unexpected passing of our loved one, Mr. Eric Allen Reid, affectionately known as “Emoney”, of 4118 Hickory Road, Chesterfield, VA. 

Eric Reid departed this life on Saturday, February 20, 2021. He was born on March 3, 2004 to Erica Jones and Albert Reid III. Eric was a loving and caring fiancé, son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson, and friend. Eric accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Gill Grove Baptist Church since 2008. 

He was a rising senior at Matoaca High School, with a generous heart and colorful personality. Everyone that knew him knew he was mischievous at times, and known to make people smile with his practical jokes. He loved fishing, playing 2K on the PlayStation, crabbing, swimming, Dallas Cowboys, Domino’s Pizza, and hunting down the newest Jordan’s on a Saturday morning. When he was not working at the Cook Out, he would spend most of his time with his family and friends, and the love of his life, Jacqueline. 

Eric leaves to cherish his memories:  a loving and devoted mother, Erica Jones (Jarvis Tucker) and father, Albert Reid III.  He also leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and caring siblings, Nathan Jones, Sophia Jones, Victoria Jones, and Olivia Jones; two half siblings,  Cameron Reid and Trenton Reid; devoted grandparents, Joshua Jones and Deborah Jones (Joshua) and Albert Reid, Jr. and Daisy Reid; seven devoted aunt and uncles,  Sabrina Beachum (Yasin), Jacqueline Doyle (Charles), Jimmy Jones, Daniel Jones, Tamela Coleman, Debbie Kouri, and Terrie Reid; four devoted cousins, Melissa Cleaton (Paul), Kaylee Cleaton, Jackson Cleaton, and Brody Cleaton; loving cousins, Charles Doyle, Jr. (Amanda), Tripp Doyle, Charlotte Doyle, and Sidney Kouri; devoted fiancée, Jacqueline Lara, and his affectionate friends:  Quemonte Fitzgerald, Quemoni Fitzgerald, Amari Mays, Jakwan Bradley, Marcus King, Jeliah Mckenna, Tyshawn Trimiew, Michael “MJ” Stanley, Ja’Layla Bell (Ja’noi Bradley), Reggie Tyler, Trevon Gentry, Dominique Orr, Rayden Mckenne, Daquan Vann, Cameron Goodwyn, Timothy Eldridge, and Austin Mckenne; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 4, 2021 in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA. The interment to follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.

Viewing for Mr. Reid will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the funeral establishment.
