Not sure what to say?

Dear Eric:

Thank you for being my friend during our Wonder Years. Even though we went through high school together, I cherish most those years between ages of 12 and 15 when we were virtually inseparable.

We played sports, talked politics, worked at the movie theater and walked the town for hours during a time when parents didn't worry about abductions.

One of my most vivid memories was when we stormed the field at the last Washington Senators game with...

Eric was the epitome of ' a man's man. Every time I was around him, I thought, "gee, I wish I had some of his qualities". He was always there to help in our efforts to achieve energy consumption efficiencies as our account manager for the Air National Guard at McEntire JNGB. What an awesome job he did. Eric, you are already truly missed. Deepest sympathy to the family as you grieve the loss of Eric. Godspeed and God Bless your life in eternal heaven.

Eric and I were kids together. His family lived 3 houses down from mine in Wheaton, MD. We played street football and whiffleball together as well as backyard basketball on the old netless hoop. I helped him collect beer cans to make a beer can table. He was more politically aware than I at an early age. He gave me a Spiro Agnew trash can for my birthday which I still have today. We shared the thoughts and concerns of young people finding their way to adulthood, and he takes with him a piece...

Eric was the account manager for us here at SLED. He was always willing to come up and help with the many questions I would have. He was once impressed with a picture my wife had taken of some ancient ruins in Arizona that upon hearing of his illness I gave it to him. Not because he was sick but because he really loved the picture and appreciated it. He will be missed and was really a great person.

There are no adequate words to relieve the pain you are experiencing. Please know that Tanya, Kevin and Greg and families wanted to be there but, unfortunately, could not. Please know our hearts ache and pray God will give you peace.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

Eric was an awesome man. I was very priviledged to have been his co-worker and honored to call him friend. I am so very sorry for your loss, but I know he is no longer in pain and now marveling as he walks the streets of gold. May God give you comfort and peace at this difficult time.
