Eric E. Savela

Eric E. Savela, 27, died Monday, January 9, 2012.  He was the beloved son of Dennis M. Savela and Donna J. (Archer) Reid and stepson of Sharon (Downey) Savela and the late Glen D. Reid.  Eric was employed with his father as a CNC Field Engineer for Independent Machine Services for the past 9 years.  His slogan was “It’s not about the money; it’s about keeping the G&L’s running.  It’s just another piece of iron.”  He had many passions in life, including the outdoors, camping and fishing, Phish and V Dubs.  He also leaves his sister, Leah R. Savela; grandparents, Helen L. Dubuque, Stanley and Phyllis Savela, James and Dorita Downey.  He leaves many aunts and uncles including Jennifer (Savela) Eckert and David Eckert, Steven and Mary Ellen Archer, Richard Dubuque, William Archer, Steven and Judy Downey and Rusty and Fran Rhodes.  He was the godson of Darlene Dropkin Burke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A visitation and remembrance will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012 1-3 pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Warwick.
