ERIC ALLEN SCOTT

SCOTT, ERIC ALLEN Of Burton (formerly of Grand Blanc), age 48, died Wednesday, October 30, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Cremation immediately following the service and a burial of ashes ceremony to take place at a later date. Eric's ashes will be buried at Crestwood Cemetery near his late son, Preston Michael. Family hour 1 p.m.-2 p.m., visitation 2 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. New York Yankees, concert T's, or other casual attire welcomed and preferred. In lieu of flower, contributions may be made to the family. Eric was born in Lapeer, Michigan on September 1, 1971, the son of the late Roger Scott and Deborah (Geno) Scott. He married Meredith Meek on November 1, 2006. Eric enjoyed sharing laughs or talking about politics with family and friends, attending rock concerts, and loved the New York Yankees. Surviving are wife, Meredith; daughters, Miranda and Jessica (Justin); granddaughter, Aubrey; mother, Deborah; special aunt and uncle, Dawn and Charles Covetz; sister-in-law, Sheri Scott; nephews and nieces, Trevor, Britney, Anny and Preston Dale; mother-in-law, Carole Davis; father-in-law, Michael Meek and sister-in-law, Julie Meek (Paula).
