Not sure what to say?

I remember Rick from High School and I was in his brother Jeff's class. I am so sorry for your loss. He was always a nice guy. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Aunt Joyce, Brad, Jeff, and John,

I wish I could be there to give you all hugs! Blessings Be!

I'll think of Rick while watching the Cubs go all the way THIS YEAR!

My heart aches for my Aunt Joyce and all her boy’s my cousin’s,
Rick ~ god speed,
I see you now up in the hay mow, sun shinning through the combine door, on top of the highest stack of hay bales ready to swing and then you fly!
You’re free, You’ll be missed, here is a poem I found that reminds me of you ~

A brief candle; both ends burning
An endless mile; a bus wheel turning
A friend to share the lonesome times
A handshake and a sip of wine
So say it loud and let...

Aunt Joyce and all of my Server cousins,
My heart goes out to you all. I send my love and strength and I know that Rick is at peace now, probably up there watching a baseball game with his Dad, and laughing. He always had a great smile. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Love Debbie

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Rick will always be in my heart and memories. He helped me thru a very hard time in my life as I believe I did him, dealing with the death of my dearest and best friend Brian Miller. Rick and I clinched onto each other thru the burial and reminisced about our favorite buddy. Rick told me Brian got his stairway to heaven, and now my friend you have yours. I am at peace to know that you are in the hands of Jesus and reunited with Brian. Untill my time...

Rick and I go way back. We were neighbors when my family moved to Ames in 1964. He has always been and will always be a special friend. One of my favorite memories about Rick is when he and I decided to climb on the roof of Fellows Elementary on a Saturday when we were about 11 or 12. A patrol car noticed us on the roof and turned into the school parking lot to get us down. We did not want to get caught so I jumped off of the roof and fractured my ankle. Rick found a smarter way down,...

Rick ..go find Harry Caray ..
I'll miss you buddy.

It is hard to believe that Rick is gone, and equally hard to imagine Ames without him.

Rick was always good-natured had a tremendous sense of humor. I particularly appreciated his wacky way with words. While watching a baseball player commit an error or strike out with runners on base, he transformed "chump" into "chomper" or "chompster."

Here's hoping the Cubs win it all in '08 for the Rickster.
