Not sure what to say?

Eric was my first cousin on our fathers' side. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing.

Erik was a member of the Suburban Cities planning directors staff group when Growth Management was passed in the early 90's. The task before staff was to provide guidance and support over a two year period to electeds developing Countywide Planning Policies. At the time, I was the mayor of Redmond, one of several elected officials representing over 30 suburban cities. Erik was wonderful to work with then and throughout my 16 year tenure--always calm and thoughtful.
I hope that fond...

Eric was my bosom buddy in high school and in college where we roomed together for 3 years. Ah, so many fond memories! Eric was such a true friend, there in good times and in bad, not to mention a blast to be with! He was kind, very witty and extremely intelligent! I remember clearly the first day, first period geometry class at Wa Hi in Portland as I was transferring in from another school. Didn't know a soul. Eric made me feel welcome that day with his great smile and kind words and we...

Eric and I had a small landscape maintenance business back in
1972. He and I had plenty of work to keep us and friends busy. We worked well together and had fun.

He was a wonderful person that I lost track of over the years.
I remember hearing that he had gotten into urban planning. I think he was the person who got me into Loggins and Messina. My wife knew Eric too and we both are very sad to learn of his passing.

Eric was one of my good buddies in grade school and high school. All class, genuine and gracious - literally one of the all time great guys!

I had the pleasure and great luck to share planning director trials and tribulations with Eric. His ready smile, intelligence, instincts and wit were such a gift in our era of planning under Growth Management. Such a role model not just professionally but personally
for us all. My deep condolences to his family.

Eric was the Planning Director in Des Moines while I was on its City Council. He was alway a consummate professional and we were disappointed when he left us for Kirkland.

My wife, Heidi, and I offer our sincere condolences to his widow, children and grandchildren.

Eric was a high school friend, ALWAYS a gentleman.Loved by all his friends!I am TRULY sorry to hear of his passing! Blessings and my sincerest condolences to his family! Nancy Long
