SINGLETON (Eric):
The City of Bayswater extends its sincere sympathy to Eric's family on the sad passing of a long time friend and supporter. Eric and his late son, Peter, established the Eric Singleton Bird Sanctuary in Bayswater where King William Street ends, planting trees with nesting boxes to encourage breeding. In 1978 Eric was successful in having the wetlands officially recognised and the area was declared a nature reserve, becoming a well known and patronised part of the City....
