It has taken me a while to think of what I would write about Eric here. He made an impression and an impact on everyone he met and every thing he did. He was a dedicated and a sincere man -- a major force for NAOBI Atlanta. I did not know him as much as I wish I had. He was just always there and you expected to see him every where you went. if it was related to interpreting or Deaf events. He always made me smile and laugh. I forgot my own troubles when he was around. He had that affect...

To My Most Beloved "Son" Eric
The PAIN of losing you is only superseeded by the JOY of just knowing you ,for almost 20 years.
You were truly an exceptional young man, smart, outgoing, generous and SO FUNNY !!, you made me laugh, and gave me hope , even @ my darkest hours. I have even more incentive, now , to live a holy life, knowing that is the only way I can get to see your BEAUTIFUL SMILE again ! There are only two kinds of people in this world...the kind that LIGHT UP A ROOM ...

My thoughts and prayers go out to Eric's family. He was a wonderful, jovial person. He will be greatly missed.

DEAREST ERIC YOU WILL SURELY BE MISSED BY ALL THAT WAS HONORED TO KNOW YOU. GOD ANGEL PLUCKED FROM EARTH INTO GOD'S ARM. YOUR NAOBI AND IMPARTATION FAMILIES WILL TRUELY MISS YOUR SWEET SWEET SPIRIT.

My deepest sympathy for the family and friends of Eric Toland. I only knew Eric to be a wonderful, happy, and awesome person. Eric always showed love and respect to others, even if he had just meet them. Eric will truly be missed and the interpreting world has suffered a great loss in Eric. May God continue to keep you during this hard time. Just remeber that God is good and does all things well.
