R.I.P ERIC

Condolences on the death of your father, brother and son. Officer Zapata seemed like a good man, someone who lived life to the fullest. His children and family should be proud. I live in San Diego, CA and we just lost a police officer (Officer Jeremy Henwood) on 8/7/2011. These senseless killings are heartbreaking. The violence has got to stop. God bless, stay strong...Eric left this world a hero.

Connie, Irene & Family,

On behalf of the Harder family I wanted to express our condolences. When my mom told me that the officer shot in Kalamazoo was Eric, I couldn't believe it. We have so many fond memories of your family and I know how much my mom enjoyed watching Irene and Eric when they were young. We are so proud of the man Eric became and honored that he served the citizens of Kalamazoo. He is a true hero. Please know that we will continue to pray for all of you. God...

To the Zapata family: Many thoughts and prayers will be with you in your terrible loss.

Rest in Peace Officer Zapata. I met you when you first joined the force and you were patrolling my neighborhood. You impressed me so much with your passion to fight crime and violence on the streets. You were an angel then and now in heaven. I feel honored to have had that conversation with you and will never forget your spirit. My prayers go out to your family and children. God Bless.
