Erica Madelyn Vallario

It doesn't feel like 17 years have passed. Erica is still a presence in our life that we will always treasure and miss. Rest in peace, dear daughter.

I knew Erica from Camp Horizons. We spoke once, were both shadow counselors. I always admired her. Still think about her. God bless you.

It is 7 years today since that terrible and senseless loss. Time helps us to deflect, to cope, to have some peace. Whatever the future brings, Erica will always be alive in our hearts and memories.

Today marks 4 years. It is not possible to count the number of times she takes over my thoughts. Time cahnges the grief but it still remains. We take comfort in the signs she sends us so that we know her spirit is still with us.

Erica has been moved to her permanent location at Gate of Heaven mausoleum, in the new building. She is in the left corridor directly facing the fountain courtyard. If anyone is there for a funeral or visitation, please go by and say a prayer for her.

I can't believe it was 3 years ago Friday. I miss you sooo much. I was talking to someone about how we grew up playing soccer together and I wouldn't had as much fun without you. You always knew how to make a boring class fun, and how to make me laugh when it was the last thing I thought I wanted to do. I'll see you again one day and until that day I'll keep you close to my heart.

It is 3 years today from that terrible night we lost our beautiful girl. Please remember her in your prayers and thoughts. Life is not very rewarding without her, but we struggle onwards.

A memorial Mass will be held tomorrow, Saturday, at 5 PM in St. Raphael Church, Route 10, Livingston.

We honored Erica's memory last night by awarding her annual memorial scholarship to a Livingston High student that shared her love of sports and helping other people. Erica's years at LHS carry so many memories that formed the core of her short life and can never be forgotten. It is to maintain that connection that we award an annual scholarship in her honor.
