Not sure what to say?

I remember fishing on the Deschutes River with Erich and Tony Reser. Great time...except once when Erich got into an arguement with a deputy sheriff on the river who said we were "trespassing". Erich was still a DA at the time and straightened the deputy out on the law.

Erich and I were best buddies in 5th and 6th grade. I basically lived at his house where we played 100´s of ping pong games. Our friendship continued through middle and high school and college(OSU). We lost touch when I moved to Southern California. We reconnected at our 50th high school reunion which was such a gift to me . We laughed so much as we always did, Erich was such an incredible guy with a great sense of humor. I was so looking forward to seeing him at our 60th high...

He was my brother-in-law for many years and I always admired and respected him. He was a great guy and we did several raft trips together on the Deschutes, then stayed at his Sun River house. His family was extraordinary. Father Karl-Heinz among the most amazing men I've ever known. His Vietnam year was exemplary; his men all loved him. Sincere condolences to his sister Heidi, wife Margaret, and his children.

An infectious smile, rafts and oars in the bachelor house dining room, and cold beer in the cooler. Unassuming, loyal and a dedicated family man. RIP

Erich was a good friend and a great guy. I knew him since the early 70's and we were law partners for many years. I have more stories than I can tell here.

Always had a lot of respect for Erich as we worked together in the DA's office in a time where we both felt we were able to do some good. Had the chance to share some river time as well and it completed the package--solid, responsible man who you could always rely on for pretty much anything. He will be missed.

We certainly just lost another one of the good guys . Erich was a fraternity brother at OSU . He was a gifted athlete , a high achiever in his studies and a great friend during our time in college . He helped me land an engineering summer job that provided the funding to attend school and graduate with no student debt . I always respected his decision to serve in Vietnam , and was not surprised he quickly rose in the ranks to captain . Rest in peace brother . George Christensen

Sorry to hear one our "Phi Psi Brother's at OSU" has past on. I think he pledged a few years later than I so didn't know him well. Prayers to the family.

Erich was my best friend in college and long after. We both entered Oregon State and pledged Phi Kappa Psi together; we served as houseboys for two years at a sorority; we shared an apartment our senior year; we played softball and volleyball in college and beyond; and we experienced innumerable adventures. Our career paths took us in different directions and we lost touch, but after many years we reconnected in Erich´s law office. The missing years drifted away with recollected stories...
