Not sure what to say?

I was very sad to hear that dear Erik has passed. I had no idea. I knew his mother Elaine in London in 1969 and for a time I lived in her flat.
Eric was a wonderful kid. At the time I was taking a course in film making in London, and Erik was the star of my longest film. So I have him on camera. The trouble is our films were still being shot with a 8 1/2 mm. movie camera. And I am not sure how to convert my film to a format that I could share.
I will try to do this. In the...

Condolences to Erik's family. All these wonderful messages show that he found so much love. I only knew him for two years, and they weren't his easiest times, but he was unforgettable. Rest in peace.

I just this moment found out that Erik dies. I knew Erik almost his whole life. His mother and father were friends of my parents. I met up with Erik again when he was 14 and my mother, sister and I had moved to London. We kept in touch as often as we could but the last time I saw him was several years ago when he was in Boston. We spoke a few times by phone but had not spoken in a few years. Then earlier this week a very dear friend of ours from the distant past died and I thought of Erik and...

Virginie, I knew Erik at the time he met you in London.Erik wanted us to meet each other when I was staying with him but it didn't quite happen. I will always remember Erik for introducing me to Tom Waites and for the antique phones he was so fond of. He always told me that I'd introduced him to radiology. I have often wondered if you two married and where he'd ended up in his career.I am truly sorry to have learned of his death at such a young age. My heart goes out to you and your family....

I knew Erik in the late '70s/early '80s, he was one of a group of friends I used to see from time-to-time on the London party circuit! I am terribly shocked to hear that he has died so young and although I do not know Virginie, Ben and Amelie I send them my heartfelt good wishes for a life which is forever happy that it was touched by Erik rather than forever sad that he left so soon. Warmest regards, Annie Tomkins, England
