Not sure what to say?

I'm sorry to only now hear of the passing of Erik. Although I never had the honor to talk to him personally, I often came across his work while researching the Kunders/Conard/Cunard families. He was a great help to my late father Webster Hayes Cunard Jr. and his sisters Lydia (Cunard) Bloom and Elmira (Cunard) Mearkle while compiling our piece of the family puzzle. Hopefully those of us who remain can carry on his legacy and unite all the clans of the Thones Kunders family.

Godspeed...

I just found out about Erik's recent passing, and I would like to share my condolences with his family and his many friends.

Besides being of inestimable assistance to me as I was researching my Kunders/Conard lines, he was a valued friend as well. I am so glad that we got to meet in the summer of 2001, as I wanted to thank him in person for all of the help he had provided me over the years.

During my wife's illness and death in 2000, Erik was always there with a quick note to...

Aloha
In 2002 my wife, Roberta & I had the pleasure of spending several delightful hours with Erik. We had corresponded for sometime about our mutual Siron, Bruner, Fleisher & Hiner ancestors. If any others are pursuing these lines, I would be pleased to hear from you.

We are sorry to hear Erik Conard passed away he wrote my son Erik John Conard once and was pleased to see another Erik with a k spelling. We are also related to Thunes Kunders from Germany.

Bob
and I have fond memories of discussing genealogy with Erik. He was
always willing to share what he knew; and he certainly was a great
researcher and story teller. We will miss him.

I only met Erik once, but we corresponded for many years over our mutual interest in Coles County, Illinois genealogy. He will be greatly missed. My sympathy to his family.

Erk Conard was like no other in the time that I knew him since 1965.

He was lost to me and we once again found each other.

While I was not a member of his beloved Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, he was a friend of all Social Greek Organizations and any organization that he was a member of.

He influenced so very many lives and will be sorely lost to all of us.

My dearest and deepest condolences go out to his wife Grace and all of the members of his family whether...

Erik will be greatly missed for his extensive knowledge that he was
ever willing to share with a healthy dose of his crusty personality. Good night and good morning Erik; peace and gratitude to the family that cared for you.

Erik Conard was very kind to share his research with me many years ago. His contribution to knowledge about the Germantown descendants and ancestors was enormous. I will miss him.
