Not sure what to say?

We will miss you, you did the best you could do. Love Joan and Chuck

It is a real shame that Eric passed away, he was a good friend and we will all miss him. I have some very good memories of Eric, the Thomas brothers, and myself going surfing and fishing on my dads boat that always seemed to break down, but Eric was always positive and always wanted to do it again. I feel that Eric and my Dad are going fishing on a boat that isn’t going to break down this time. My thoughts and prayers go to all of his family and friends.

Gus, Vi & Todd,
I know I speak for my family when I say, " We feel really lucky to have had your family as our next door neighbors for so many years growing up." Our two homes were really like one big one. I have so many memories of my close friendship with Erik and all of time we spent together. Myself and Erik camping in the front yard many times with Gus throwing firecrackers in our tent late into the night which ended up in front yard war games all night, riding out bikes to school,...

Beautiful! God Bless!

Dear Vi, Gus and Todd,
It's been so long since I've seen Erik, but there are plenty of good memories from growing up with him. Erik was the most positive person I knew and always looked on the bright side of things. He was always the first one to go off of a jump we built, or paddle out at Grandview when it was 8 foot and closed out. My heart goes out to you and all of your family. When we think of Erik in times of fear or doubt, hopefully we can all have some of his optimism and be able...

Gus,Violet Angie & Family,
Erik has given me two very important gifts that I hold very close to my heart. The gift of surfing, and the more important gift of friendship. I know he is now where the water temp is 80 degrees, and the surf is six to eight feet. We will miss him dearly.

With our sincere condolences,
Dave,Pam,Franky & Bridget

To All The Gustafson's,

I have just heard today of Erik's passing and it has truly affected my heart and soul.
The times we had spent together in our younger years, were always full of spontanious adventure, and of Life.
Erik had this unconditional glowing of life that had no fear of representing, or expressing itself, through his nature. His heart was huge and without judgment.
Life was expressed in such a beautiful way through Erik.
That is why I loved him dearly, and I...

A hand was offered to me on our first day at Oak Crest Jr. High and opposite the hand was a smiling young man who introduced himself as Erik. From that moment, catalyzed our friendship for many years to come. From the surfing trips to the parties, many fun memories were forged in our halcyon high school years. Erik understood the importance of not talking life too seriously, that a flat day of waves was better than digging ditches as Summer job. Unfortunately, we drifted apart after high...

Dear Gus, Vi & Todd,
I'm so sorry to here about your beloved son and brother. I can't even start to explain how much fun we had when we were little kids. I met Erik right down the street from stone steps. He was the first friend I had when I moved here from Orange CO. We had years of fun together Skateboarding, boogie boarding, surfing, skin diving and finally we were old enough to start scuba diving. I can remember the first time we went skin diving. It was right in front of your house on...
