Not sure what to say?

Jeannie and David,
In my anticipation of seeing you in December I started searching Facebook for you and your kids. I found this article about Erik's obituary and it took my breath away. I am in shock and am so very sorry. You are in my thoughts and prayers. With love and sympathy,

Debbie Taylor

Erik was a full-on boss. In football, he was the cornerstone of our defense; a natural leader and a physical specimen. In social life, he was wildly popular and kind to everybody, even hopeless nerds like myself. I am personally saddened by this news, and humbled to consider this life's spurious twists of fate more powerful than the best of us. We should all be thankful for our own good fortune and friendships that have carried us to enjoy life thus far. RIP Erik. Godspeed all.

I am shocked to hear about Erik. I will never forget what a joy it was to teach such a fun loving, curious student. He always had a kind word to say about his classmates and helped make that fifth grade class one of my special groups of kids. My heart goes out to the family.
Sincerely,
Earl Corey

As far as the words go it sounds like a cliché, but I feel that you embodied that idea as an example. You were and continue to be an inspiration in a number of ways. Erik, you're the...
