Not sure what to say?

dear erik, i did not know you in person. i, however, do know my mom, whitney, and you're my mom's brother. i know you were her best friend. i know you shared everything with her, and she did the same. i even know that you both shared a secret language so your parents (my grandma and grandpa) wouldn't know what you were talking about. i know you loved animals, and i know you even had pet mice. i know you would've loved sheera and chloe and beatrix the labradors. i wish you were here, eric. i...

Erik-
I've never met anyone who could put a smile on my face faster or make my day better just with just his smile. With the pain in my heart I now know just how much of it you filled up and will continue to. My thoughts and prayers to the family, and all our friends. I'll miss you...

Erik-

You are the guy that never let me frown. No matter how hard people pushed me around you were always there to help me stand up for myself.
There are so many fond memories I have of you, and for the life of me, I can't put a finger on one where you weren't smiling. That is how I will always remember you.
I will never forget History with Moses,3rd grade and our egg project, and my 17th Birthday among other moments of hilarity.
Erik, you will always be in...

"Miss Abheul, can I wear my hood in class?"

"Can you wear your hood in class...? I guess so, Erik."

.....

"Erik, are you listening to your headphones under your hood?"

"Erik?"

"Erik, take off your headphones."

:)

For the parents of the nicest, most humble guy to graduate from Mountain Pointe High School.

No one ever walked away from Erik without a smile.

To Craig and Paula, I know you do not know me. I live in Ahwatukee and was reading our local paper and saw the loss of your son. My son who was 22 passed away in my Ahwatukee home just a week before your son did. Everyone tells you they know how you feel but no one knows the loss of a son. I can honestly say I know what you are going through, it should not happen this way we should not lose our children. Please if you would like to talk or communicate to someone that can say they know how you...

Erik,
Life will never be the same without you. I've been thinking a lot about the years that we spent together and remembering all the good times. You were my best friend and I'll miss you my whole life. I know that you're in a better place now and that you're happy. You are the best person I've ever known in my life. You were also one of the purest people I ever knew. Your smile could make a bad day seem beautiful. I'll love you forever my little buff and I will see you in time....

To know Eric was to truely love him. Anyone who has ever been blessed to meet you knows this in their heart. I only wish that we all had more time to enjoy the happiness that you brought into everyone's lives that you touched. Safe passage and good rest, dear friend.

(Is it better to avoid the pain of loseing a good friend by never letting good people into your life? I think not.)

Erik~

I wish that you and I could have spent more time together. But I will always remember your smile and sense of humor throughout our time together at Mountain Pointe and our random run-ins with one another at Macayos. You were the best waiter I ever had!! I was completely shocked to hear the news of your death, but even with your passing, I know that you are still with us, in spirit. I will love and remember you always Erik.

Erik,
I know you left us all for a reason, and it's a reason we will never know. It's important that you know that all of your friends and family came together in celebration of your life. I found that your uncle Lyn lived next to my grandparents my whole life. My mom used to babysit your cousins and they were the flower girls in my parents wedding. It's a shame that you couldn't know that before you left, but I think you do know how close we really were. You will always be in my...
