SPARKS, Erik, 46, of Richmond, departed this life on June 9, 2011. His memory will be cherished by his beloved mother, Yvonne Sparks-Harris (James); his devoted sister, Andrea Sparks-Brown (Ronald); his brother, James Sparks Jr.; his nieces, Destiny Sparks and Arielle Nichole Brown; his nephew, Aaron Nicholas Brown. Remains rest at W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home, 2700 North Avenue, where family will receive friends Tuesday, June 14 from 6 to 7 p.m. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 15, at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Saint Paul's Baptist church, 4247 Creighton Road. Interment Family Plot, Drakes Branch, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Sickle Cell Anemia, VCU/MCV Cooper-Smith Sickle Cell Research Initiative MCV Foundation, Post Office Box 980234, Richmond, Va. 23286.
