I had the privelge of meeting Erik back in 2004 when he and i were announced as the DECA District 7 President and Vice President. One thing that caught my attention about Erik was the fact that he was able to make you laugh when u need to laugh or smile when he felt like you needed a smile. We knew Erik through his grade school years as a friend of our grandsons Billy and Joseph.Erik was a fine young man who I enjoyed having with us at the Mall, driving him home,at Billy and Joseph's house and a few times at my house.

I didn't actually know Erik, but feel as if I did. His father spoke highly of him, and I know just how much he was loved. My most sincere condolences to this family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
