Erika Maria Christman

CHRISTMAN, Erika Maria (Ziegler), age 85, resident of Dayton, OH, born in Kirchheim, Germany, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017. She was a graduate of the Industrie and Handelskammer School of Wurzburg, Germany and worked as an administrative assistant for Tracy & Tracy Law in West Carrollton, OH for 50 years. Erika was a faithful parishioner at St. Henry’s Catholic Church for over 50 years. She was a devoted wife of 61 years to Kenneth Christman and loving mother to 3 children, Diana Charlotte Christman Long, Kurt Roland Christman, Rebecca Ann Christman Chaulk, and grandmother to Justin Drake, Jessica McKendree, Jarrod Christman, and Emily Long. Erika’s family was her highest priority and deepest joy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Konrad and Annie Ziegler; sisters, Resi Pongraz, Charlotte Helle; and brother, Karl Ziegler. A mass of Christian burial will take place at 10am on Tuesday, August 22, at St. Henry’s Catholic Church, 6696 N Springboro Pike, Dayton, 45449. Friends are welcomed by the family to join them for the service at St. Henry’s and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
