Erma Stephens Richins

Words cannot express our love for your mother for the kindness and care that she always gave to our grandparents, Parley and Elthera Stephens throughtout their lives as neighbors. In our grandma's late sick years the family always knew Erma would be checking on her and making sure she did not want for anything. I am so sorry to hear that this sweet woman has left her for special place here on earth. Meeting her has been one of the most wonderful moments in my life.

I called her from Texas and she invited me to come to her home and talk about genealogy. I arrived at her home a couple of weeks later and she shared stories, her notes and above all she shared her love.

Aunt Erma has passed away. She was a wonderful person & will be greatly missed.
As a child I loved to visit Aunt Erma with my friend/cousin, Audrie (Erma's grandaughter). We were always offered goodies; Cocoa Puffs, 7-UP, and my personal favorite....Chocolate cookies from the freezer! They were the best!

Dear Richins Family: We are so sorry that we will be unable to attend Erma's funeral on Thursday because we will be in South Dakota on our ten day road trip.
