Ermelinda Arvizu, 69, peacefully passed away on August 25, 2021, at her home in Gilroy, CA. She was born on September 14, 1951 in Weslaco, TX to Carlota and Hilario Jimenez. Throughout her life she resided in Delano, CA, Santa Ana, CA, and Gilroy, CA. Linda wore many hats during her life, some of the most significant being her position at a nursing home, hair stylist, and elementary school secretary.
Linda was a loving mother of two children and two stepchildren, devoted grandmother of eleven grandchildren and beloved wife of Ronald Arvizu. She was an adored sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
She was a creative and lively individual who always found time to crochet a new pattern, paint various statues & pictures, beautifully decorate her home for holidays and cook delicious meals for her family. Linda doted on her children, grandchildren and family members. She loved to take care of others in times of need and illness.
Memorial services will be held at Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 4th.

My condolences to my brother Ronnie and her children Trisha and JJ. Linda was a gracious women and always dressed immaculate, always having her nails done. The last time I went to visit her I told her how cute she looked and with her nails painted red. I want to thank my brother for taking care of her during her illness and during her final hours.
