Erminie Filipi

Funeral services celebrating the life of Erminie Filipi will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 26, 2017, in The Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville, with Reverend Walter Ajaero officiating. Burial will follow in Czech Cemetery, Kolin.

Visitation will be observed on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Recitation of Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. and resume on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Erminie Filipi, 81, of Pineville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, at her residence.

Pallbearers honored to serve are David Filipi, Alfred Luneau, Sr., Marshall Dupree, Dustin Firmin, Dustin Dupree and Derrick Dupree. Honorary pallbearers are Zachary Belgard, Alfred Luneau, Jr., Danny Hines and Travis Gunter.

Mrs. Filipi was a member of St. Francis and Anne's Catholic Church, Kolin. She worked as an office manager for Lee Dee Vending, retiring after many years of service. Erminie was a member of the Catholic Daughters, A Gifted Artist with Paint and a longtime member of the Red River Arts and Crafts Guild. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvis and Georgia Gray Dupree and brothers, Dilward and Derland Dupree.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years; Julius Filipi; son, David Filipi; granddaughters, Sara Filipi Luneau (Alfred Luneau, Sr.) and Karli Filipi Firmin (Dustin); great grandchildren, Zachary Belgard, Alfred Luneau, Jr., Maci Paul and Sophia Paul and another one due in November; brothers, Darrel Dupree and Don L. Dupree and a host of other family members and friends.

We are sorry to hear about Aunt Erminie's passing it was just a few months ago we were eating fish. Our prayers go out to all of the family.
